In October of 93 my new born son Blake was diagnosed with Cutis
Leukemia. This is a tumor based form a Leukemia that if untreated
would eventually kill him. After two surgeries to remove the tumors
before Blake was even two months old the Doctors did several test
and discovered Leukemia type cell growth. Blake was scheduled to
go into surgery and have a cathedor inserted to start kemothreopy.
I sat down on the couch the Saturday a week before this surgery
and prayed to God to heal my son. I asked that if he would heal
Blake I would enter into the ministry in some capacity. You see
God has been knocking on my door for years but I have always turned
my back, not because I did not accept Gods calling I just did not
know what I could do in a ministry capacity. The next week the doctors
did more test and we received a call that they could not find any
more signs of the Leukemia. After another round of test they cancelled
the surgery and kept a close eye on Blake’s condition, again
with no signs of the Leukemia.
Two months after this incident I received
a call from Fielder Road Baptist Church to interview for a new position
supporting their network and computers. Fielder contracted my services
out to several other locations and I accepted the position. After
working with Fielder for four and half years God once again stepped
in and guided me into starting IDS to support churches throughout
the DFW area, Texas and other churches nation wide. This was the
first time in my life I truly stepped out on a leap of faith and
God has blessed me and my family so much since this time.
Although IDS has been working with many
churches and non-profit organizations since October 1994 we have
only been independent and full time doing this since February 1999.
It has been a great 11 years & we look forward to many more
to come.
