IDS was formed on October 1, 1994. IDS was originally a side job to my full time job at Fielder Road Baptist Church. I was hired to support and expand the churches computer and technology needs. In the four and half years I worked at Fielder Road we made many strides in the churches computer systems. When I started at Fielder Road they had approx 20 computers on a Novell Network with only 600Mb of hard drive space. Upon leaving Fielder Road they had 89 workstations on a server sporting over 30Gb of hard drive space. We installed the Shelby Systems Nursery Security System in three separate buildings, installed a video projection system as well as assisted in getting them an Internet presence. At the end of my tenor at Fielder Road we made sure they were Y2K ready. I truly loved working at Fielder Road Baptist Church and it was very difficult to make the decision to leave. I felt that God was calling me to expand my support to other churches and not for profit organizations. So on a leap of faith I left Fielder Road Baptist Church to build Innovative Data Solutions into a ministry to help churches throughout the Dallas Ft Worth Metroplex and the country.
